Within seconds I was at ease in the gorgeous boutique and had spotted THE dress on the rail.  From then on everything was so easy, the courtesy phone calls and hugs from the girls made all the difference.

"My experience with YAP was first class, from walking into the boutique up until I left to jet off for our wedding in New York. I was greeted by a lovely big smile from Jo (the dedicated owner) and behind her, a simply exquisite boutique and a wonderful team.
 
I’d made 3 appointments the day I found my gown (YAP being my first).  There was no need to see others when I was happy with the huge choice YAP had to offer, the staff, very fair and competitive prices, along with the beautiful boutique & elegant fitting rooms where my feet sunk into the deep pile carpet.
 
I was put at ease immediately, no nerves, fussing or rushing at all. It was a calm and happy appointment and after I’d made the right choice (I still utterly love the gown) myself and two family members with me were given a glass of bubbly, what a lovely gesture to mark finding of ‘the gown’

"After searching for dresses all over the country for months I was getting really disheartened that I would never find my perfect dress and also driving my mum, dad and my now husband crazy with my relentless Internet and shop searches every evening and weekend! To my delight I found an advert via a bridal web site for YAP a new bridal boutique which had just opened at the end of August 2010 in my home town! I quickly looked up their web site and started looking through the designers they stocked - the Lea Ann Belter dresses were exactly what I had been searching for - simple and elegant and totally different to all the other same old. I grabbed the phone and made the first possible Saturday appointment so that I could travel up from Leeds.
 
From the minute I stepped into the boutique that Saturday to the day before my wedding when I collected my dress Jo and the team went out of their way to help me pick the perfect dress and to make sure it was all ready for my big day. I had so many complements on how gorgeous my dress was, and how lovely the lace detail on the veil and on the bottom of the dress was that it made all of that searching seem worthwhile!

It was so frustrating..all the gowns were just not me. I had seen a Lea Ann Belter dress in a magazine and fell in love with her dresses and then discovered that a newly opened shop  in Newcastle was actually selling them. As soon as I entered Y. A. P. Bridal I was sold. Not only because I FINALLY found my dream dress, but also because of Jo and her team. "After an awful day of dress shopping I found Y.A.P and its lovely owner Jo who sat me down in her beautiful shop with a good cup of tea before showing me her beautiful dresses! I was what you would call a stressed out bride to be. I had a tight deadline to find a dress before going abroad for a while and I was failing miserabley. Thank goodness I found Y.A.P, although it did give me a new dilemma! There were so many beautiful dresses that I couldnt choose between them. Jo kindly opened the shop for me on a Sunday and told me she had the perfect dress for me. She was right Lyn Ashworth's Delphine was almost perfect and with the addition of some Leanne Belter lace and alot of hard work from seamstress Liz I had my perfect dress. I also found my perfect bridesmaids dress. The whole Y.A.P experience is just as it should be for a bride to be. You are made to feel special by Jo and her team and you look special in her gorgeous dresses. I can't recommend Y.A.P highly enough, I have met other Y.A.P brides and they too are all full of compliments for Jo and her shop. The story behind Y.A.P is lovely and Jo is a lovely lady who has now become a good friend, I cant thank her enough for helping me find the perfect dress!"

"I have to say that trying on wedding dresses was one bit of planning our day that I was most worried about. I had seen Y.A.P at a few wedding fayre's and decided to make an appointment.....I have to say it was the best thing I ever did! I was so nervous on the day and it was the first Wedding dress shop I had been to and needless to say the last! Jo is right when she calls it a Boutique, it’s the most amazing and beautiful place, all the gowns are stunning and individual, as are the staff. Both Jo and Linda made me feel so relaxed and at home and looked after us all, it turned out to be one of the best days ever. From the first moment I tried on my gown I knew it was the one. To celebrate, Jo opened a bottle of fizz and from that moment I knew that I had found a friend for life!
 
From the fittings to collecting my gown I was treated with the same high standard and friendliness as the first day I had arrived in the boutique. I would, and have recommended anyone I know who is getting married to go and visit Jo and Y.A.P as I don’t think there are better people to celebrate finding your gown with.
 
On our Wedding Day everyone commented on how amazing the dress was and how stunning I looked. None of this would have been possible without them.

"My future mum-in-law mentioned that she had heard on the radio that a new Bridal Boutique called Y.A.P had recently opened and when she told me what Y.A.P stood for I was very intrigued and excited to visit this new shop.

We booked an appointment almost immediately.  As soon as I walked in a few days later I just had this feeling that this was the place where I was going to find my gown.  The boutique's decor was amazing, very tastefully decorated and I was greeted by the lovely Jo and Linda who immediately put me at ease and asked questions about the type of dress I had in mind etc.

I tried on a few and then Linda pointed one out to me which I tried on and that was it.... I started flapping my hands and cried and to top it off I tried on a veil and I felt a million dollars and knew this was the dress for me.  The quality and richness of the colour was really beautiful.  Y.A.P is in my opinion the best bridal boutique in the North-east and I would urge any future brides to visit this boutique and have the most amazing time trying your gown and being made to feel very special by Jo and her fantastic team".
