Tell us how you felt before your first appointment to try on gowns...

I felt very nervous and excited at the same time. I couldn't wait to try gowns on.

On arriving at Y.A.P Bridal Boutique what were your initial thoughts...

I was blown away by the customer service and the stunning boutique. The décor was outstanding and very magical.

Your Style Ideas...

I thought I had an idea of the style of dress I wanted - until I arrived at the boutique.

Your Consultation to Finding the One...

Danni was the first person I met at my appointment. She made me feel at ease and very welcome. I felt like I was the most important person and she made dress suggestions that I would never of thought about trying on. Including the dress which happened to be ‘The One’. Danni knew me better than I knew myself, and is perfect at her job. (Don’t give it up Danni :) )

Tell us about your bridal stylist and the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received...

Danni was my bridal stylist and she made me feel like a celebrity getting ready for the Oscars. She made me feel very welcome and that I was her friend. Danni went above and beyond. On arrival having a sit down together and getting to know me and actually taking interest in our wedding was one of my highlights for me.

How did you feel when you found your dream gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’...

I knew that the dress was ‘The One’ when I looked in the mirror and cried. I lost my mam in 2008 and this was the one thing I was dreading not having her there, but I felt like she helped me choose and was there with me. I could not get the gown out of my mind. I did try on other dresses but knew straight away there was no point in keeping them on as I could not stop thinking about the one I was recommended by Danni.

Talk to us about your overall Y.A.P Bridal Journey…

My Y.A.P bridal journey was one of the best journeys I have ever had. I genuinely looked forward to and was excited for my appointments. Everyone that I met throughout my journey was so friendly and made me welcome at every stage. The girls were just as excited for my day as what I was. I am sad that it's over - however I will have the memories for life.

Tell us more about your day...

I chose a veil from the boutique which had diamantes on, single tier so that you could see through easily as my dress on the back was very detailed and I did not want to take that away. I had a sparkly comb for the side of my hair too. My shoes were ivory and lace which fastened into a bow. My husband gave me a locket on the morning of our wedding which had photos of my mam inside and our date of the wedding engraved, this was my something new. My maid of honour gave me my something blue – my garter, and my something borrowed was her pearl bracelet. My something old was the earrings my maid of honour gave to me when I was her maid of honour on her wedding day.

I felt like a princess. I could not wait to wear my dress on the morning and didn't want to take it off on the night. I felt so comfortable and confident which is just how I wanted to feel. Once I stepped into the dress I felt emotional and it came to me that this was actually happening. I loved the little touch from Y.A.P  with their card for me to read on the morning of my wedding day.

The venue was Beamish Hall Hotel. I wanted a dream wedding and a dream wedding we had. It was so magical. I could not have been happier and would not have changed a thing. Everything went to plan and all the planning and hard work from everyone came together on the day which was just amazing to see.

Our colour scheme was coral and aqua green.

The suppliers we had were Love actually for our LOVE lights. Tom Foolery was our photo booth supplier for the evening.  Chameleon were our band suppliers. Our stationary was ‘The little love card company’ from Seaham. My make up artist was Maximillion from Newcastle. We used Walton's meswear in Newcastle for our suit hire. Beamish extras at Beamish Hall did a lot of in house decoration which we used for things like our table and chair covers, back drops, centrepieces and ivory carpet etc. We used Captured Photography for our photos. We had two lovely women Jill & Vicky who were amazing and so patient the photos are just perfect.  All the suppliers were fantastic and very accommodating with any requests.

Amy your day sounds truly magical and we are so happy you had the most amazing bridal journey that we were part of. Thank you to Jill & Vicky at Captured photography for the images xxx
