Tell us how you felt before your first appointment to try on gowns…

I was really excited about my appointment as I had heard excellent things about the boutique from my friend Vicki who was also a Y.A.P bride. I love shopping and really loved trying wedding dresses on – it was so much fun and definitely one of the highlights of the planning for me! I had been to a few other places before I came to Y.A.P though and lost count of the number of dresses I’d tried on, so I wasn’t expecting to find ‘The One’. So many of my friends had said “you’ll just know when you find your dress” but I was starting to feel a little bit like I might not get that feeling.

On arriving at Y.A.P Bridal Boutique what were your initial thoughts…

The boutique was gorgeous and everyone was SO lovely. I felt very at ease and as though everyone there was really excited for me too!

Your Style Ideas…

As I’d tried on so many dresses, I did have a few things I knew I wanted. My dress needed to have sparkles, and I wanted something fitted at the waist with an a-line skirt, and that was sheer at the top and not strapless. It also needed to be comfortable as I wanted to wear it all day and dance in it all night!

Your Consultation to Finding the One…

Y.A.P was the only place to hold a real consultation, where we sat down so that they could find out more about me and the kind of day I wanted. When we looked back at the notes Louise had made, the dress I’d chosen matched what I wanted exactly!

Tell us about your bridal stylist and the ‘You Are Precious’ service you received…

Louise was my stylist and was great, although I really did feel like the whole Y.A.P team were so involved in finding my dress and helping me prepare for the big day and that they were all part of the styling team! From the very first appointment, to the text messages leading up to the wedding, to the amazing service from Anne the seamstress when altering the dress to fit me, it was all brilliant and I was so happy with everything.

How did you feel when you found your dream gown & how did you know it was ‘The One’…

I just knew as soon as I had the dress on that it was exactly what I wanted – I can’t really describe the feeling! I’d taken my Maid of Honour and one of my bridesmaids to the appointment and they both agreed the dress was just so perfect for me. When I showed my mum and my sisters they loved the dress too and a few tears were shed!

Talk to us about your overall Y.A.P Bridal Journey…

It was like a dream to be honest. Everything was perfect. I really felt that the whole team were always so excited for me – I was treated as though I was their most important customer and that my wedding was just as important to them as it was to me. Anne was so amazing during the fittings and I really loved going to see her and trying my dress on for my alterations. I always left the boutique feeling even more excited about the wedding.

Bridal beauty Lindsey married her soulmate Aaron at the stunning Redworth Hall. The daytime had a fun and relaxed feel with party vibes continuing into the early hours. Lindsey decided to add creative personal touches and used hints of Las Vegas as inspiration as this was where Aaron proposed. The day had tones of blue teamed with pastel flowers – total prettiness all round.
