Myself and David met at work. We are both Paramedic’s and we just had an instant bond - when you know, you just know! He is my best friends, I think that's key for any relationship.
I was very excited to try on my style of dresses. I had always loved 'Ian Stuart' gowns since seeing them in a boutique when my mam had been dress shopping years ago. I went on Ian Stuarts’s website and found my dress! I knew I needed to try it to know for sure, but I was heavily pregnant and had 2.5 years to go until the big day! I rang YAP, and spoke to Jo and I explained the situation. I asked if I could come in once I had had the baby and lost a few pounds! Jo said she was worried it was soon, but when I told her it was Ian Stuarts 'Copacabana', she said if I am an Ian Stuart Bride I will always be an Ian Stuart Bride and she was right!
I arranged to visit the studio in July 2017. My baby was 5 months old so I had lost a little bit of baby weight and I still had 2 years until the wedding. I expected to try on the gown and for it to be something to think about. I didn’t think the whole “moment” thing was real, but when I turned around and saw my reflection in the mirror I burst into tears - I just knew it was 'The one' and I said Yes to my Y.A.P dress!
My bridal stylist was Jo at my initial appointment, but all the Y.A.P girls were just amazing. I needed that little bit extra support as I was still carrying my extra baby weight and was worried about if I would lose it. I fell pregnant AGAIN 3 weeks after ordering the dress and so had another gorgeous flower girl on my day, but now had even more weight to lose! I had a two year bridal journey with Y.A.P, and they always knew my voice when I called or came in for my progress fits, it really felt like i was part of a family!
I would describe my YAP journey as memorable, magical and I would have to say happy, as every time I visit the studio I just feel total happiness!
When I put on my dress I felt like a princess! I had two years building up to this moment and I felt like a million dollars! I have never felt so special in a dress and probably never will!
Tell us about the perfect accessories …
I wore some really sentimental pieces on my day. I had Jimmy Choo shoes that David had bought me on a trip to Italy. My dad bought me a black sparkly bag to keep my bits in. I wore a sapphire bracelet from a special family friend, who later gifted it to me on the day which was so special! And finally I wore some of my mams earrings, my mother-in-law’s necklace, and my step-mams bracelet.

We got married at the Vermont Hotel in Newcastle. It was the first and only venue we visited as we fell in love. We chose the sky lounge for the ceremony, the gorgeous roof terrace for the drinks reception, and then the stunning ballroom with its ICONIC chandelier for the rest of the day and night.
Any colour schemes/ themes for your big day?
I originally chose just Black, White, (husbands a toon fan) Blush and Sparkle. We later added some soft grey in, that, turned out to be the colour of the suits my husband chose. I love gin so we filled giant gin glasses with sparkle and flowers ourselves, with tea lights and more sparkle on the tables. We had lots of children coming so we had balloons in our colours which kept them happy along with a gift box for each child!

My hair was done amazingly by Lisa at Glossylocks. She fitted my hair extensions prior to the hen do just before the wedding and she styled them perfectly with loose curls.
Rubey Lalia did my make-up, she honestly made me feel so beautiful. All the bridesmaids looked stunning too - she is a complete artist!
My flowers and the flower girls wands were done by Ada’s Flowers and Events, they were beautiful white bouquets, and she dressed all the chairs with blush chiffon drops and brooches.
Faye Shearer sang me down the aisle to A Thousand Years, as well as at the reception. Everyone loved her as much as we did and I have some gorgeous photos of her singing to the children.
Our stationary was provided by Made to Treasure, they did some beautiful invites and stationary for the day to match our scheme perfectly.
We had a magician named Glen Ward in the evening, he was fab with the kids, and the adults enjoyed him even more!
We had the best photographer to capture the day. Jamie Penfold has given us the most amazing memories, he was a pleasure to work with and I know our young children will be able to re-live our special day when they are older.
Natasha we have just adored looking after you throughout your very own bridal journey! We wish your
beautiful family lots of love and happiness. You will truly be a part of the Y.A.P family forever.
